‘If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.’ Dalai Lama
I want to share something that happened to me many years ago that it is like one of those stories out of a Chicken Soup book.
I became friend with this guy that I met at the hospital when I became sober almost 26 years ago.
Occasionally we will get together and go for a bike ride or a hike, but sometimes months will go by without us even talking on the phone.
One day I was doing some things and I though about my friend. I decided to drive over to his place and give him a surprise quick visit.
I found him feeling very sad because his younger brother had just died unexpectedly.
Although I had other plans, it was easy for me to stay longer and talk to him about a few things.
Many years later after I met Kalyani and moved to Florida I got an unexpected phone call from my good old friend from California.
After we talk for a while he said he wanted to thank me for saving his life. At first I thought he was joking around but then he asked me if I remember that day that I stop by and visited him.
The truth is I didn’t remember the details, but he did.
What he said next caught me by surprise…
He said that before I came over that day he was contemplating suicide. Then he reminded me what I did and what I said right before I left his house.
He told me that I held his hand and told him that things were going to be OK because he had people who love him like I did.
Not every experience or story can be that clear when it comes to realizing that we are here to give birth to a new Consciousness for the greater good of humanity, animals and the planet.
This is WHY I am always saying that, “The best contribution you can make to the world is by the way you live your life every day.”
You are here for a reason. It is time to make that your number one priority. Nothing else can even come close to IT and will could ever give you what you are seeking.
Unleash your potential,
