Luis Munoz Rivera Park is a 25 acre park located in the Puerta de Tierra barrio of Old San Juan. The park has an outdoor stage where musical acts play on weekends and draw crowds looking for some fun and dancing. A statue of Luis Munoz Rivera stands in front of the stage commemorating his fight for Puerto Rican independence. It also has numerous bike paths, picnic areas, gazeebos, open green space, a children’s playground, an 18-century armory, and a pavillion (Pabellon de La Paz) where craft fairs and other events are held. There are also several water fountains alond with benches and shade trees for relaxing and taking in the sights.
