Is It Choice or Is It Destiny?

I remember over 21 years ago driving to work in the morning and right before I lit up a marijuana joint I thought, “There is something wrong with this and at one point I am going to have to face it.” I also remember another time having an affair and as I was leaving her apartment I felt shameful and I knew at that moment that somehow I would have to pay the price for my actions. More recent I remember having to say good night to my children on the phone and I knew at that point that no amount of money was worth missing out on the things I value most in life. The truth is that since I have learned to love and forgive myself, I can probably go on forever, remembering time after time, stories of how at one point in my life I had enough clarity to recognize that I was drifting away from the path, but not necessarily doing anything about it at that particular moment!

But the question is… Was I really choosing to drift away from the path, or was it ALL part of a bigger plan that would eventually lead me to my destiny? Even up to this point, I honestly don’t have the answer to that question. I could tell you that many times while reflecting in silence it is evident to me that everything I have ever gone through has been preparing me for the role that I am now playing. Not only that, it is because of all these experiences that I have become the most magnificent version of me today. I think it is relevant to mention that I have grown the most during the hardest times of the journey, so there must be a reason for the challenges we encounter along the way!

I know that if I google this question, (Is It Choice or Is It Destiny?), I would probably get many answers. But the question is… Do I want someone else’s answers and beliefs or do I want my own? Through my meditation practice I am understanding that our human experience can lead us to believe in many illusions, but Spiritually we always remain as perfect as the Laws of Nature and as Beautiful as the blooming of roses during Spring! This is crucial to me because it means that at any point no matter how far I may drift, I can reconnect with my True Self and find the most harmonious and fulfilling way to the evolution of my individual Soul.

As a Transformational Life Coach I often talk to and witness many people who are struggling with situations, circumstances and conditions that are robbing them from the opportunity to experience how magnificent God’s Creation truly is, them included, but unfortunately do nothing about it. Although I have been blessed to see and hear about others who have transformed their lives, I often wonder if there is any way we could change the statistics and significantly increase the amount of people changing their lives and consequently changing the world! Or Maybe I just need to continue expanding my awareness and TRUST that Infinite Intelligence has a Divine Purpose for everything!

After searching for so long for things outside of myself to make me happy and fulfilled, I have found that Infinite Source is really within ME and YOU and there is a part of me that wants everybody else to experience how awesome it is living life this way. Perhaps is because now that I have overcome these obstacles I find myself completely in LOVE with the Divine Presence flowing through everything and everyone. Or maybe it’s just that since I have dissolved the illusion of separation I know that I am ONE with all the Love, Joy, Beauty, Abundance and Harmony in the Universe and therefore I can’t help but to want to release this energy as the most important piece as to why my life ROCKS! Shift Happens!

Have you ever read or heard about synchronicity? Have you ever stopped to think what are the possibilities for things to unfold the way they do every day? All the unlimited things that could have completely changed the outcome of any particular situation in your life? No, I am not tripping, it is exactly the opposite! Over 20 years ago I made a conscious decision to stay away completely from drugs and alcohol to discover myself and how life would be without them. Because of that one decision, my life has continued to CHANGE in ways that I would have never even begun to imagine. Every day is full of infinite possibilities because I have grown from within, enough to understand that the outside world is only a reflection of what is going on inside of me! That as long as I continue to have passion, determination and appreciation for the present moment, not one thing has to change in the world for me to be happy and celebrate the things I value most!

If you are not becoming more interested in what you are reading by now, I suggest you  tie your Self down to the chair and continue reading because this is not about me, this is about YOU. You see, there is no accident to why you have attracted what you are reading and either you can make the decision to take this information to heart and shift the way your life is going, or you can continue doing the same things you have been doing and continue looking for answers in the wrong places. In all honesty, that is actually the way we are programmed to survive by our ancestors, and it’s probably not such a bad idea when you were learning how to walk and talk, but I believe you are ready now to make a conscious choice to unleash the unlimited potential within your True Self, while learning how to gratefully appreciate all the blessings in your life!

Let me just quickly highlight that when we don’t listen to the subtle signs going on in our life, consequently we bring the crazy DRAMA right into it. From there, it can get worst or better, depending on wether or not you choose to be a victim, or reach out and learn that taking risks is what allows us to CHANGE and GROW! After making so many mistakes and making life incredibly hard and painful, I am now experiencing a more loving, prosperous and rewarding way of experiencing life, one day at a time. My heart desire to live a meaningful and purposeful life is what motivated me to create this blog and to activate the power of collaboration to change the World!

When you begin to live life this way, you begin to understand and develop higher levels of awareness that allow you to experience a new reality. All of the sudden life has new meaning and your beliefs, along with your mindset, shift and you are guided to serve others. Prosperity consciousness reveals itself through your passion and purpose and now success is no longer a goal, it is within your Self and it becomes a lifestyle. What others think of you have very little impact on who you are and you express yourself more freely because you are not attached to the outcome.

Remember, it all begins with the conscious choices you make and in order to do that you have to learn how to go within. Part of my life purpose is to inspire, empower and intensify your ability to discover the changes you want to make for the evolution of your individual Soul and for the contribution you add to the shift in Consciousness going on in the world. Together (joinPEACEtribe) we can Be The Change We Wish To See In The World and shape the vision for younger generations to follow. I believe that One Love, One Wealth and One World is the way things were meant to be and I will do everything I can until the day I die to Be loving, Be Giving and Be Willing to equally celebrate humanity, the animals and the planet!

joinPEACEtribe

I was awakened at 3:00am the morning of September 23, 2009, just a couple of weeks ago as I received the bold idea to embark on this spiritual journey – joinPEACEtribe Global Tour. I almost couldn’t wait until to my best friend and wife woke up to tell her all about it!  Like anything else that we are inspired to do, she immediately shared the same excitement that I did because we know that the more you give of yourself, the greater the experience!

Delaying our moving plans already in progress and putting all our belongings in storage for a few months may not have been the plan a couple of weeks ago, but when intuition moves and shakes our energy, we rise up and say YES! Driving over 8,000 miles around North America in a motorhome with our two Life Schooled children and eight animal babies, making our business completely mobile, not to mention the second leg of the tour when we will be traveling around the world, definitely can raise some internal questions and fear, however not saying YES to the inspiration and following through is not even an option. As humans we are conditioned to operate by linear thinking, however this kind of inspiration comes from the Universal Intelligence that knows better than we do what is really in our heart and what is the next step that we need to take in the direction of our dreams!

I personally believe now that we all come to this life with a purpose and it is our soul that constantly reminds us through synchronicity and attraction when we are straying away from this path. When you develop this awareness, things will unfold and you discover the depth of your Spirit, your Real Self. Your mindset changes from what can I get, to what can I GIVE and consequently fears and insecurities disappear as you remain connected appreciating the journey!

If the idea of sharing your love, contributing $1 dollar and collaborating with others to Be The Change We Wish To See In The World, makes you smile, then follow along (joinPEACEtribe.TV) or join us at some of the tour stops, as we celebrate and support others that are making a true difference. For example: Successful interior designer walked away from her business to transform shelters for women and children into places of peace and possibilities beyond just where basic needs are met, but spiritual needs for hope and beauty also. Professional photographer selling his studio and equipment to follow his desire to perform random acts of kindness out in the streets and teach young generations the power behind it. High school student who has been raising guide dogs for the blind since she was in third grade, just to name a few. Or how about being completely open to share the energy of thousands of people as we visit different spiritual gatherings every week. Feeding people who don’t have food, giving blankets to those with no place to sleep, and providing needed items to children at an indian reservation spreading joy to others to experience the real meaning of the holidays! Can you see the vision and feel the energy?

Do we wish we had more time to plan this project? Probably, but if you always wait for things to be exactly the way you want them to be, you will probably never do them and if you do, it would take you so long that you miss the karmic significancy of the inspiration.

The life lessons we are learning and teaching on this Global Tour are very clear and obvious, “It’s Time For Change and It’s Time To Be The Change.” Every choice you make matters! You Have A Choice!

Good for you! You just made a choice to open your self to learning something new or be reminded of something you already know. Regardless, the point is that you are making choices all the time. Now imagine being able to make the right choices most of those times…  Although wrong choices are here just to let you know that you are going away from your path, they are not FUN! Wouldn’t you agree? I personally feel that I have made too many of those choices in this life, and I am done with them. I no longer believe in contrast, I am into consistency these days!

My guess is that you are probably thinking that you already know you have a choice, so what is my point. First lets bring some understanding into this dynamic exchange of energy that we are having. Knowing something doesn’t mean that you understand it and it definitely doesn’t mean you can use it to get the results you want. If you don’t believe me, just pay a great deal of attention to how many times people say, “I know that”, or ‘I heard that before”, but in the next breath or action they show you that they don’t know it, otherwise they would be making a different choice. So knowing is being able to apply it into your life and get the results you want!

Now, back to knowing that you have choices. Let me give you an example, that sometimes works better for me. Imagine that you sitting next to the Dali Lama in a very loud concert. He has some amazing things to say, but you cannot hear what he is saying. That is pretty much what happens when your inner voice, full of wisdom and intuition, is waiting for you to be silent, but since you are making a choice to continue to think and think, you missed your one to one appointment with the Infinite within YOU. But I am going to make the assumption that if you are reading my blog it is because you have a higher level of awareness than most people and you make the conscious choice to quiet your mind every day like I do.

Let’s continue with the same example since the first time it worked so good or at least it did for me, LOL. The music at the concert stopped for the intermission and you got to listen to the Dali Lama for a little while, and of course he gave you some powerful insights. But once the music started you began to listen to it, perhaps you justified having a beer or a glass of wine. Wait, what I am saying? You are reading my blog, so you would NEVER put mind altering drugs into your body temple. I am so sorry, I thought I was writing to another group of brothers and sisters. My apology. Where were we? I know, after listening to the Dali Lama, you started listening to the music and thinking about past memories or perhaps you slipped into an old mind habit of predicting the future, and all of a sudden, what seemed so powerfully insightful, escaped your mind. Oops! The point is that we have to make conscious choices to stop the noise from the outside world, but we also have to develop a discipline to stay connected and take immediate actions, otherwise, well, you know what happens.

Let me finish by adding this final point. The human mind is just a tool by which we co-create our reality. Quickly I want to underline OUR REALITY, because in that statement lies one of the most transcending understanding of human kind. We are co-creators in the Creative Process of Consciousnes and therefore that is why we can CHANGE our reality and the world by making Conscious Choices together. I know that was a mouth full; just take a few minutes and reflect on what that means to your life right now. What can you take responsibility for and make a conscious choice to change right now in your life because you have the power to do it ? Good, I am happy for you!

This is the key, it becomes a conscious choice when we have the ability to MASTER the mental faculties within our unlimited powers. So whatever it takes in your individual case, is what it takes, but you MUST do it! My advice is that you don’t compare yourself with anybody else. Most of the beliefs that are co-creating your reality come from your unconscious mind and only you can change them. We are ALL different in our humanity and for that reason, your journey has different choices than anybody else. The gift is that inherent within your human potential is the Power to CHOOSE and CHANGE!  If you don’t, you are still making a choice, but it is probably not the one you want!

Latino, You Are Who You Are!

I am convinced that even if I spend another 47 years expanding my awareness starting from where I am now, I would only be scratching the surface of my inherent unlimited potential. I am also quite aware that the world around me hasn’t changed, but it is my inner transformation that has allowed me to create my own reality and see the physical world completely different than what it used to be. Have you ever wondered why me? For years I felt like I was so different than members of my own family, friends and other people that were Latinos like me. I was trapped in the middle of my own inner war because a part of me felt proud for growing up with certain values and interests and another part of me didn’t agree at all with some of the beliefs and misconceptions around me. Among other things, there were too many unanswered questions regarding religion and no one dared to step out of the imaginary boxes within the human mind.

I can’t even begin to explain the invigorating joy that flows through me in every moment because I no longer choose to let ignorance and illusions give form to my reality. By mastering the mental faculties available to me, I have created an awesome life in which the next moment is always pregnant with even greater experiences.

But it was not always like this. For many years I was suffering from self imposed fears and insecurities about who I was and where do I fit. You see at the age of 2 my parents decided to move back to their home, Puerto Rico, and I spent the next 16 years absorbing the energy that became the foundation of my reality. Right after my sophmore year my parents moved to California and I spent my senior year in high school not only struggling with learning a new language and culture, but also fighting the desire to grow and embrace the world I was exposed to, yet debating if by doing so I would loose who I thought I was. For the next 10 years I struggled even more with this dilemma and I used things like alcohol, drugs and sex as a way to hide and survive. I was fighting unseen demons, but they seemed so real to me then.

Like all of us I have a story, and perhaps in the book that I am writing (Latino You Are Who You Are) I will get into more details, but for now I want to speak to the 38.8 million Latinos in the USA that could use my experiences as a spring board for the next step they are about to take. No matter what you think, feel, or do with your life, you will ALWAYS be who you are. So if you are Latino, be grateful for what it offers you, but don’t be afraid to change and become a greater expression of God just because unconsciously you don’t want to betray your roots. As a matter of fact, you would benefit tremendously from evaluating the impact that your up-bringing is having on every decision you make. Like my mother would say, “No votes el muchacho con la placenta.” Celebrate the gifts and blessings and let go of the misconceptions and limitations.

Beliefs around religion, alcohol, addictions, male privilege, nutrition, parenting, competition, work, digression of women by sexualizing them, acts of violence against humanity and animals, just to name a few of the unconscious behavioral patterns that were blocking the flow of God Consciousness flowing through me in all my affairs and consequently were robbing me of my own true happiness. I am not more or less Latino than anybody else just because for the last 20 years I have become a different version of me. You see it doesn’t matter how much money you make, your reputation, (el que diran la gente), how popular you think you are, or anything else. How successfully happy you are is a direct result of the awareness, understanding and application around the realization that You are Who You are because you were created in God’s image.

Just Because!

Do you ever wonder why people do the things they do, only to find out later that they were doing it for the wrong reasons? Do you ever tell yourself that you wish you knew then what you know now? The point is that everything is always changing and just because you see things one way now, doesn’t mean that your perception will remain the same, specially if you are like me, someone that loves to live in the present moment but believes that the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know anything!

Just because you are from a younger generation doesn’t mean you have to give in to coolness and give up meaningfulness. Or that you have to use certain clothes or choice of words to give the world a certain image about who you think you are. It doesn’t mean you have to pursue physical goals rather than spiritual growth. Please, don’t tell me that underneath all that stuff, you don’t have the inner desire to love and to be happy, or perhaps to find your life purpose!

Just because you are from an older generation doesn’t mean you have to be stubborn and pretend that you were always the same person you have become. Or that you have it all figured out and therefore there is no possibility for further growth. Come on, times are changing and we are now exposed to more information and discoveries than ever before in the history of mankind, so it would make sense that you open yourself to greater awareness and accept that you don’t know it all.

Just because you are at a point that you think you have things pretty much under control doesn’t mean that things can’t change so quick that your whole world can be flipped upside down. Denial, justification, and even ignorance are choices you make and therefore find yourself stuck in a routine and the convenience of finding new toys to make you feel better about yourself. But you don’t care because you see yourself on top of the world anyway and choose to see and put everybody else down if they are not playing your game.

Just because you are an embodiment of the Spirit you have the right to be authentic and live every moment in passion and be conscious about the vibrations flowing through You. Not only you love your Self, but you feel secure, worthy and confident that you are creating the life of your dreams and that your main objective is to share your talents and gifts with the world as you receive from the Universe all your needs harmoniously. You are convinced that Divine Presence is the ultimate reality and that humanity, the animlas and the planet are within your Consciousness and just because of it, you are making the changes within you, that you wish to see in the World.

“You Must Be The Change You Wish To See in The World”

I often contemplate this quote by Gandhi whenever my mind wants to go into judgement. As I meditate, expand my mind and embrace all the love and abundance that is around me regularly, I am present it with the realization that in order to receive greater level of awareness, I have to bring truth to the things that I don’t like in me and immerse in an environment that represents only the good in everything.

I understand that I have mental faculties that allow me to choose what I think, feel, and the actions I take about any given experience and therefore I have to take responsibility first for the results that are going on with me. I also have learned to accept that there is a Universal process in which changes require an inner transformation, and I enthusiastically open my self to become the new me that can handle such demands. Even though I have made many mistakes while playing this game I call life, I am always humble because no matter how much I have grown, I am just scratching the surface of my human potential; you can’t miss, what you have never experience.

I appreciate the opportunity to utilize this services and your interest on receiving my sincere gift. If anything, it’s my intention to share with you that changes begin within our self first. If you find yourself judging, just forgive yourself, understand that is an ego trick to keep you trap in this illusion, and quickly get connected with Truth.

The Game of Life!

Imagine yourself playing a video game in which you have to experience certain things in order to reveal greater awareness to get to the next level. As you go on in the game, you learn that when you have certain experiences, you gain more energy and there are other experiences that make you weaker, therefore you remain at the same level, sometimes you may even fall into lower levels. You choose to be enthusiastic about the game because you are always learning, even the things you don’t want to experience teach you that you are moving away from where you want to be. As you play the game, you take some time in between to calm the mind.

Consequently you develop an understanding of what are the experiences that make you stronger and receive greater awareness, and you move away from the ones that take away your energy and with it the ability to see things clearly. Since you understand that it’s only a game, you place all your attention into having fun. Once you get to a certain level, you realize that by assisting others to experience greater levels, you gain double the energy and the awareness that comes with it. So you find yourself creating a balance between experiencing greater levels and assisting others as well. Finally you reach a level in which you understand that the experiences you are having, you are the one creating them and that by assisting others to increase their awareness, is the only way to create greater ones for yourself.

Although this game has Infinite levels, there is ONE thing that was, is and will forever remain the same. Since everything is energy, You, Others, the EXPERIENCES and everything included in the game, are ONE with WHAT created the game. Maybe the purpose of life is to play and have fun, no matter what you are experiencing. Maybe that is the key that opens the door to discovering your purpose in life. If you knew without a doubt that you are part of THAT which is INFINITE CREATION and therefore, by definition, you inherit within yourself everything you need to create your life to be exactly they way you want it to be… would you be playing and having fun right now?

Please don’t talk yourself out of reaching out, remember, we are having fun, because we KNOW that in order to continue playing the game, we are here to assist YOU.

If You Are Going To Go For It, Why Not Go All The Way?

There is no point in taking any risk if you already know that you want more than what you are shooting for. Whether you say it is too much for you to handle or you call it your comfort zone, the point is… Why would you stop short if you already know you are stopping short? It is one thing to be ignorant, or to be experiencing denial, but to know and not do, is not to know..

Working with clients for over 18 years, I have probably heard just about every story in the world as to why people are not receiving what they want from life. If you look up the word victim in the dictionary, some of their pictures may be right next to it. If you are thinking that what I just said was mean, think twice. You know what mean is to me? To buy into their stories and become part of their drama. I didn’t choose to write this post to be a therapist or a counselor, I have already been there, done that, and moved on.

I am using this part of my blog to honor the authentic part of me that can no longer tiptoe around the issues or sit around and not say anything about the pink elephant in the room. So if you thought you were going to read something different, maybe you want to stick around anyway because there is a reason why you were attracted here in the first place. My intention is to bring truth as I see it, and the rest is not up to me. Sometimes our egos get the best of us and rob us from the joy of just being completely authentic and I did that for far toooooo long.

We all have things we want to say, or do, but once again we conditioned ourselves to believe that the reason we don’t say or do them, is because we don’t want to hurt others. That is a lie wanting to be truth. The least you can do is to own it. In order to transcend our fears, we first need to reveal them. Maybe you want to portray a certain image, or you are attached to what others think of you, or perhaps you have a false sense of security, who knows.  Again, this is not the place for therapy, you are capable of figuring out why you stop yourself short from experiencing the greatest gift anyone can give to them self, the gift of lovingly and passionately living an awesome life.

And by the way, if anyone, whether it’s family, friend or partner that can’t handle you being freaking happy and excited about life, then you have more work to do because your life is a reflection of the Consciousness you have until this moment in time. Which means that you can’t blame the circumstances, conditions or results in your life on someone else because you are completely responsible and you have within your Self the ability to make the necessary changes with of course the correct guidance.

So if you are seriously committed to going for it, don’t let your mind set stop short from the awareness you will need to receive it. The mind is just a tool to master and create the life you want, that it, it only does what it is programmed to do. You are the embodiment of the Spirit of Life. Let me finish with this…. everyone and everything will benefit tremendously if you go all the way, so do it!
