It’s Not What You Know, But What You Do With What You Know! Lesson 2

by Darsana Roldan

Lesson 2 – You are always connected, the question is to WHAT?

I once heard someone say that we are the average of the five people that we spend the most time with. I also remembered my mother telling me when I was a kid, “Dime con quien andas, y te dire quien tu eres”. But relax, I am just sharing these two propositions with the intention to get your attention because I believe that what I am about to share has the potential to radically change the direction of your life!

If you take any creek or river and block the flow of water running through it, it will only be a matter of time before it will become stagnate and eventually it will dry out. Or you could dig a trench and connect it to another source of water. Like a sewer line and although it will continue to flow, the quality of the water would be directly affected by what is connected to it.

Pretty much this is the same thing that I am referring to when I previously wrote, “You need to understand that we live in a world in which we are constantly bombarded by information that DOES NOT support our true potential, so it is extremely important to develop a simple approach to life that supports us being connected and moving in the direction we want 24/7.”

This statement is not about making judgements or putting anyone down. This is about being able to do something with what you know, otherwise, what’s the point of knowing? “Energy flows where attention goes.” For years I have been telling people that within this simple quote, is the secret to revealing the awareness required to directly alter the quality of our lives! This simple statement alone, that easily describes the teachings of great minds, like the carpenter of Galilee, if understood correctly, can be used strategically to get rid of diseases, economic depression and many, if not all, of the issues we currently face in our society. It’s Not What You Know, But What You Do With What You Know- Lesson 1

by Darsana Roldan

Lesson 1 – You Are Uniquely Different

Do you really understand what it means that we are all uniquely different? Have you ever considered how complex you are and to recognize your relationship with life? Do you take time daily to analyze that in one way or another everything has a direct impact on the quality of your experiences? I have been on this journey for over 22 years, and I can honestly tell you that not once have I worked with two different people that react the same way. Neither could I imagine anyone suggesting that taking a cookie cutter approach to overcome anyone’s challenges, regardless of how small you think they may be, could possibly be the best way to do it. But I can tell you one thing. The human potential is by far the most advanced and sophisticated force in the Universe and when certain things fall into place, the transformation happens quicker than what most people have been led to believe.

When talking with people, whether they are clients or not, I am always interested in the congruency between what they believe and how it manifests in their lives. Based on my experience people don’t often think about this correlation, unless they are confronted with some type of challenge. And even then, the deletion filters in our conscious mind play a trick on us, by leading us only to see those things that support what we want to believe as being the truth at that particular moment. It is so much easier for somebody else to see our mental patterns and habits because they are not emotionally, and in many cases, unconsciously connected to them. The question that often comes up is, “Why should I believe what somebody else is telling me, if they are doing the same thing that I am doing?” And I think this is a valid question and that’s why I recommend that everyone seriously consider who they are getting advice from. In another words, I don’t ask my plastic surgeon neighbor how to deal with my self esteem issues because I may end up with a nose job! Get my point? Read More

The Secret is SIMPLICITY!

by Darsana Roldan

Although I completely understand that we all see things differently, if I can get anyone to think a little bit more about the choices they are constantly making, then it is all worth it. The world needs more people who think for themselves. And although that’s part of the intention as to why I am writing this article, I am going to keep it simple by enjoying the opportunity and making sure that I don’t get to caught up in whether or not you like or agree with what I am saying.

For many years I have been paying attention to the relationship between what’s going on with me personally and the quality of my experiences. For that reason I have been able to make some gigantic changes, which includes everything I do from the moment I get up every morning. Today I can honestly say that simplicity plays a big role in my lifestyle. Plus I don’t complicate my life anymore by worrying about what others may think or say about me, or if they want to be my Facebook friend or not.

I also want to let you know that these insights about simplicity are not only from my own experiences, but from clients and personal relationships as well. The results are very similar. Regardless, most people say that they want certain things in their lives, but their actions and the choices they make, conscious or unconscious, are not congruent with what they are saying. For the most part, I believe that what they want is very simple, but how they go about it, complicates their lives and those around them. Read More

3 MOST IMPORTANT ingredients you need to overcome challenges and achieve greatness in your life.

by Darsana Roldan

More than ever before we live in a time in which most people, in one way or another, have the technology and the ability to get their hands on some type of personal growth material and no cost. Social media and other internet sites, community gatherings, and churches, are just some of the places where people are coming together and telling each other what they think is the best way to fix whatever it is they think is going on with their lives. As usual, we all have friends or family members that are always making some type of recommendation about how they think we should handle our “issues”. Read More

It was all worth it… Disciplined Mind!

by Darsana Roldan

One of my favorite quotes and the inspiration for this blog is by Buddha… “There is nothing so disobedient as an undisciplined mind, and there is nothing so obedient as a disciplined mind.” After spending the last two years with my precious family deeply immersed in reevaluating, reminding and reconnecting myself with Life Itself, I am walking away with what I believe is my greatest contribution to Consciousness… a disciplined mind. If you want to help the world, you must help yourself first!

At times this journey became so fulfilling that I contemplated the idea of moving with my family to Costa Rica and spend the rest of my life meditating and being as close as possible to nature. On the other hand while writing this blog I debated if I should share with you that at times it also felt like I was dying. I decided that the only thing I have to share is that in order to have an extraordinary life, you must dissolve the illusion of fear. Read More

Don’t Wait Another Day!

by Darsana Roldan

I was awakened by my precious daughter’s voice, “Daddy, I need to go to the bathroom”. Right after I put her back to sleep and I was quietly laying down next to my beautiful wife, Kalyani, my old time friend/dog decided that it was time to take care of business… if you know what I mean, LOL. While I was outside our RV waiting for him, I was wondering if this was going to be one of those nights that Spirit had something to say to me that couldn’t wait until the morning. I honestly don’t know if it is because in the middle of the night the collective consciousness is most at peace, or just because my mind is calm from sleeping, but whenever I am searching for answers or ideas, 3:00 a.m. seems to be my designated appointment with the Infinite.
I knew that since I had made a gigantic request to Spirit over 3 years ago and I had consistently held on to my side of the deal, that the gestation process was coming to an end. I had convinced myself, which is all I ever need to do. The Universe never withholds anything from me and this time would not be any different. I felt congruent between my heart and the vision I had been having a love affair with.
I quietly reached for my MacBook and began writing. As far as I am concerned, following through with my inspirations is the only option. When you have the awareness that I have to understand the gift of life, dwelling is something you don’t give any possibility to. Otherwise what’s the point of setting intentions if when it’s time to take action, you are not willing to take risks. Read More

Is It Choice or Is It Destiny?

by Darsana Roldan

Is It Choice or Is It Destiny?

I remember over 21 years ago driving to work in the morning and right before I lit up a marijuana joint I thought, “There is something wrong with this and at one point I am going to have to face it.” I also remember another time having an affair and as I was leaving her apartment I felt shameful and I knew at that moment that somehow I would have to pay the price for my actions. More recent I remember having to say good night to my children on the phone and I knew at that point that no amount of money was worth missing out on the things I value most in life. The truth is that since I have learned to love and forgive myself, I can probably go on forever, remembering time after time, stories of how at one point in my life I had enough clarity to recognize that I was drifting away from the path, but not necessarily doing anything about it at that particular moment! Shift Happens!

Shift Happens!

Have you ever read or heard about synchronicity? Have you ever stopped to think what are the possibilities for things to unfold the way they do every day? All the unlimited things that could have completely changed the outcome of any particular situation in your life? No, I am not tripping, it is exactly the opposite! Over 20 years ago I made a conscious decision to stay away completely from drugs and alcohol to discover myself and how life would be without them. Because of that one decision, my life has continued to CHANGE in ways that I would have never even begun to imagine. Every day is full of infinite possibilities because I have grown from within, enough to understand that the outside world is only a reflection of what is going on inside of me! That as long as I continue to have passion, determination and appreciation for the present moment, not one thing has to change in the world for me to be happy and celebrate the things I value most! You Have A Choice!

by Darsana Roldan

You Have A Choice!

Good for you! You just made a choice to open your self to learning something new or be reminded of something you already know. Regardless, the point is that you are making choices all the time. Now imagine being able to make the right choices most of those times…  Although wrong choices are here just to let you know that you are going away from your path, they are not FUN! Wouldn’t you agree? I personally feel that I have made too many of those choices in this life, and I am done with them. I no longer believe in contrast, I am into consistency these days!

My guess is that you are probably thinking that you already know you have a choice, so what is my point. First lets bring some understanding into this dynamic exchange of energy that we are having. Knowing something doesn’t mean that you understand it and it definitely doesn’t mean you can use it to get the results you want. If you don’t believe me, just pay a great deal of attention to how many times people say, “I know that”, or ‘I heard that before”, but in the next breath or action they show you that they don’t know it, otherwise they would be making a different choice. So knowing is being able to apply it into your life and get the results you want! Read More
